It’s Christmas time and that means its time for Narada Michael Walden’s annual Holiday Jam Dance Party at the intimate 142 Throckmorton Theater benefiting the Narada Michael Walden Foundation which provides scholarships to young musicians. This was the annual benefit concert’s fourteenth year. This year patrons witnessed performances by The Big Man, Clarence Clemons, on saxophone (and a few vocals here and there), Jeanie Tracy, Sakai, Lydia Pense, Manuel Romero, Vernon Ice Black, the Narada Band, and of course, The Santa Babies. Narada Michael Walden’s Enchanted Forest ft. Carlos Santana – 11/20/10


Narada Michael Walden’s Enchanted Forest Symphony was a two night event at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, California. The show was put on by the Oakland East Bay Symphony Orchestra and special guests included Carlos Santana, Cindy Blackman, Jeanie Tracie, and Tony Lindsay. Warped Tour 2010 – Main Stage

On Thursday, August 12, the Warped Tour came through Sacramento with some big name artists scheduled to hit the main stage including Reel Big Fish, The Dropkick Murphys, The Alkaline Trio and The Dillinger Escape Plan (and Sum 41 who didn’t show up). Shwayze & Cisco Adler – 5/24/10

Cisco & Shwayze

Shwayze and Cisco Adler made a special trip to Santa Clara University on Monday, May 24, for the annual spring concert. They played for about forty five minutes, but were all over the stage. This made them hard to shoot, but fun to watch. The hip-hop/rock & roll duo had fans singing along to hits like Corona and Lime and going totally crazy. Continue reading

Iration – 5/24/10


Iration was the opening act for Shwayze at the Santa Clara University spring concert, but they played like headliners. These Hawaii natives know how to get a crowd going. They started their set with only a couple hundred people in the crowd, but by the end of the hour long set they had a full crowd dancing and singing along to their reggae/rock & roll jams.

Jeff Beck – 4/16/10

It isn’t often that you see one of the best guitar players in the world on tour with arguably the best drummer in the world, but if you were at the Nob Hill Masonic Center on April 16, 2010, you saw exactly that. Jeff Beck recruited Narada Michael Walden to play with him on his 2009-2010 world tour and the mastery with which they performed made the sounds truly compliment each other. Continue reading
