Warped Tour 2011 – Side Stages

Mike McColgan

On July 2, 2011, teenagers lined up for what seemed like miles to go to this year’s Warped Tour at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. The weather was hot, but that didn’t stop thousands of music lovers from showing up and bouncing off of each other in a sweaty mosh pit.

Street Dogs:
Despite being one of the most veteran punk bands on the tour, the Street Dogs were one of the most crowd engaging bands. With Mike McColgan jumping into the crowd and pulling members on stage and even climbing up a 30 foot stack of speakers just before a surprise performance by Rancid’s Matt Freeman, the Street Dogs made the crowd question why they weren’t playing the main stage.
