When Taylor Swift came through San Jose, the energy was in the air. The show that sold out within minutes was packed to the brim with people of all ages to see America’s biggest and most respected young country star. I was allowed to shoot songs two and three which were Our Song and Tell Me Why, but they brought the photographers out for the first song with instructions for us to keep our cameras away. It was torture not being able to take a few shots as Taylor literaly hovered over me as I sat on the inside the barricade less than an arms length from the stage, but it isn’t to often I get to stand in the pit and just watch. Nevertheless, when You Belong With Me was over, I grabbed my camera and the other photographers and I went to work (if it can even be called work). My goal going into the show was to get some great wide angle shots and I am very happy with the results. You be the judge, but I think I might have gotten some of my best shots yet at this show.
Two of these photos were published in the April 15, 2010 issue of The Santa Clara.
